Cider Cottage at Woodhill Manor
Conditions of Hire
1. The Hirer is responsible for the holiday cottage and is expected to take all reasonable care. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned prior to the Hirer's arrival, please leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition and notify us of any breakages or items requiring attention. The rental agreement is for short-term holiday use only between the dates agreed.
2. Arrivals and Departures. All bookings run weekly from Friday to Friday, unless previously agreed with the owner. Due to the current Coronavirus situation, bookings will now start later in the afternoon, so the cottage will be available from 5pm on the day of arrival and end earlier by 9am on the day of departure. This extra time between lettings enables us to air the property and to ensure that the cottage is safe and ready for your occupation. We usually clean to a very high standard, but now have an even more extensive cleaning regime in place.
3. Prices. All prices include fuel and central heating.
4. Booking and the Balance of Hire. An initial deposit of 25% will be requested and the balance will be due for payment 6 weeks before the holiday start date. If the booking is within 6 weeks of the start date, the full balance will be required, once a booking is agreed.
5. Bed Linen and Towels. All beds will be made up with duvet covers, bottom sheets and pillow cases provided. Towels are also provided, but please bring your own beach towels. If a cot has been requested hirers should bring their own cot bedding.
6. Party Size. No more than the maximum number of persons 5 + baby in travel cot is permitted to stay in the cottage, unless previously agreed with the owner.
7. Children. Visitors are asked to take care whilst on our property. Parents are particularly asked to ensure the safety of their children at all times and not to leave them unattended in the property or grounds.
8. Pets. We regret that we cannot accommodate any pets.
9. Smoking. In the interests of safety we have a 'No Smoking' policy inside the holiday cottage. You may smoke outside the cottage though.
10. Fire Extinguisher. This is provided in the kitchen area alongside the fire blanket and hirers should locate it as soon as they arrive. Visitors should also ensure they make themselves familiar with the means of escape in the event of a fire and read the further information provided on fire safety and general health and safety within the quest welcome pack.
11. Equipment. All equipment in the cottage has been tested for safety. The proprietors undertake to repair or replace any faulty equipment with all due diligence. However, no claims will be entertained in respect of equipment which remains faulty for reasons beyond our control.
12. Conduct. The proprietors reserve the right to decline accommodation and demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons behaving in a manner detrimental to the property or comfort of the owners or neighbours.
13. Responsibilty. The use of the holiday cottage and amenities including the car park, garden and the woods, is entirely at the guests' risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the guests or their party or their belongings. We do not accept liability for any personal injuries sustained by you or any member of your party, or for the loss, theft or damage of or to personal property howsoever caused, including motor vehicles. Baggage and personal belongings are the hirer's risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to hirer’s cars.
14. Cancellation. In the event that you should have to cancel your holiday the deposit is non-refundable but we will do our best to offer an alternative date, if available. If it is not possible to re-let the accommodation and it is within 6 weeks of your holiday start date then you will also be liable to pay the balance due. We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance which includes cancellation cover.
15. Wi-fi. This is provided for email connectivity and internet searching and not for film or other downloads or activity that exceeds reasonable use.
16. Covid 19. In the event that you are unable to take the accommodation booking because of government lock-down travel restrictions, you will be entitled to a full refund or an alternative booking subject to availability. We do not accept any responsibility for any matters beyond our control or for any Covid19 related matters that occur whilst you are staying in the property.
