The Times 20th March 2013 Yesterday’s Times newspaper listed the 30 Best Towns in Britain. It was great to see Liskeard featured at no. 12 in the list, on account of its fine granite houses and public buildings, being honest and charming. And its location, on the edge of Bodmin Moor and an easy hop to the coast. To this agreeable list, I would add the people. There is an energy in the town, which is demonstrated by the work of the Town Team, under the banner Love Liskeard. See http://loveliskeard.wordpress.com We have found the people to be friendly, welcoming and good humoured, without exception. It really is a lovely place to live. And we are in the fortunate position of being able to share this great place with our many visitors to Cider Cottage.
